There are various types of Fiber Optics that are made available by us for use in the various commercial and industrial applications. They are long, thin strands of very pure glass about the diameter of a human hair. They are arranged in bundles called optical cables and used to transmit light signals over long distances. They transmit data in the form of light particles -- or photons -- that pulse through a fiber optic cable. The glass fiber core and the cladding each have a different refractive index that bends incoming light at a certain angle. The Fiber Optics are very effective and safe for use.
