AETEL drop wire is a type of fiber optic cable designed for use in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks. It is used to connect the outside plant fiber optic cable to the customer's premises. AETEL drop wire consists of a central strength member, surrounded by one or more tight-buffered fibers, and a low-friction outer jacket. The low-friction jacket makes it easy to pull the cable through conduits or along building exteriors, while the tight-buffered fibers provide protection against bending and twisting.
